Just who exactly are Gwe Cambrian Web? We’ve been about just over 5 years now and we’re based in an office space (the Aberystwyth Business Hub which we also run) on Bridge Street in Aberystwyth. Gwe Cambrian Web began back in June 2013, run by Emlyn Jones and Kerry Ferguson (see the photo opposite… this was us sponsoring the “Ras yr Iaith 2018” as it passed through Aberystwyth).

The business idea was formed in early 2013, following some market research which showed a lack of Welsh online, but driven by the fact that getting a bilingual website designed and developed was almost twice as costly as a standard “one language” site. We thought, “we can do this cheaper”, and help get the Welsh language and small businesses online. One of our main USPs is the fact that we’re both fluent Welsh speakers, and really proud to be able to help promote the language on a day to day basis.

Since our small beginning back in 2013, we now have a great office space on Bridge Street in Aberystwyth, and travel up and down Wales meeting clients new and old. We offer a range of services across digital – website design, hosting, translations, social media marketing and more. Our passion is helping businesses, individuals and organisations get online in the best way possible for them, not only with a great website that ticks all the boxes, but with digital marketing too.

In 2016 we opened the Aberystwyth Business Hub where we rent out offices, meeting rooms and also work in a great, friendly co-working area. It’s great to meet new people all the time, and create those all important contacts across Wales.

2018 has seen a branch out for the business, as we launched Digida during August. This section of the business will focus more on the digital marketing, which is a particular passion of Kerry’s, while Emlyn continues to grow Thema, an open source solution for bilingual websites on WordPress.

We’ve got a few projects on the go for an exciting future here in Gwe Cambrian Web, and we’d love to work with you too – so if you’re in need of a website, digital marketing advice or a friendly chat, just get in touch.
