We were asked by Sarah Robertson of the Crogen Estate to design and develop a new website to promote their accommodation and wedding & conference venue.
Although their old website was full of information on what the Crogen Estate offers, it wasn’t up to date and was also difficult for users to navigate easily. Sarah was keen to ensure that users found the new website easy to use, as well as also being mobile and tablet responsive. The brief we were given for the design was to create an elegant, classy and sophisticated website – one that was still modern, but kept to the traditional feel of the Crogen Estate, Llandrillo.
So where did we start?
Lifting content and updating it off the old website was the starting point, and also helped us design a site structure with clearer pages for visitors to explore.
Creating a clean design for the website is one thing, however we also wanted the site to exude some luxury and sophistication. For this we used the Ken Burns effect on the home page slideshow, and also the wedding slideshow. This great animation effect, using a panning effect on photographs adds that extra layer of depth to the website.
The Crogen Estate website promotes their residential courses, accommodation, event venue and also wedding venue in North Wales. Each page is specific towards the different services on offer, and as part of our website package each page also has dedicated key words, meta tags and meta data.
