Web Technical Support Role

Closing date: 30th October 2020

Contact: 12 months (possibility to extend)

Type: Part time or full time

Salary: £18,000 – £24,000 negotiable depending on skills and experience (salary)

Location: Aberystwyth

About the Role

We are looking for someone to join us to assist with general web admin tasks and web development at the company, among other aspects. The ideal candidate will bring energy to the role, new ideas and collaborative thinking. We pride ourselves on working with a range of companies, businesses and charities across Wales and beyond, and we do this with high standard of customer services, as well as a Welsh language service at all times.

The role is varied and will include delivering new websites for clients, along with general maintenance of existing client websites. Where possible training will be provided. We’ve listed below some typical tasks that would be expected of you.

The contract is for 12 months initially including a 3 month probation period, with a possibility to extend the role after this period.

We will support you with training opportunities and qualifications where relevant, and support your personal development.


About Us

Gwe Cambrian Web are a well established web design & digital marketing company, specialising in providing bilingual websites and digital marketing services. We pride ourselves in using the Welsh language throughout our business, and enabling more of the language to be seen online.


Your tasks will/may include:

  • CMS (specifically WordPress) setup / installing, migrating and updating
  • Software testing
  • Technical support
  • Technical documentation writing
  • Customer interactions (phone and email)



  • Fluent in Welsh & English
  • Web development skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as by yourself
  • Good communication skills


Knowledge Required:

  • WordPress development
  • PHP + MySQL
  • Server backend (e.g. cPanel)
