Project Manager - Part/Full Time, closing date 29/7/2022

Closing date: 29th July 2022

Start date: as soon as possible

Contract: Permanent

Type: Part time or full time (note, for this role, part time would include every day, on less hours than full time).

Salary: £21,000 – £26,000 negotiable depending on skills and experience (salary)

Location: Aberystwyth

Language: We do speak Welsh in the office day to day, however if you are learning Welsh we will support you with this. Many of our clients come to us because we advertise as a Welsh language company, so do bear this in mind.

About Us: We are a fast-growing digital agency located in the heart of Aberystwyth, looking to add a Project Manager officer to our team. We spend a lot of our time working with clients from across Wales, the UK and further afield to produce engaging websites, alongside our digital marketing elements which include marketing strategies and social media management. At the heart of our business is providing excellent customer service, and promoting the use of Welsh through the business.

What you will be doing
We are looking for a new team member to join Gwe Cambrian Web to support our client and project work, ideally with an understanding of websites and or WordPress to be able to answer client questions and advise them. The primary role is to keep clients up to date on project progress, and allocate work to staff within the office to help with a smooth running office week to week.

We have a developer in house who can work with you to create functionality required, and so your role would be to communicate with clients during the course of the project, work on elements of building the website (e.g. creating new pages, inputting content) in WordPress and also general website work as and when it comes into the office.

The ideal candidate
We are looking for someone to join us who has some experience in WordPress, and who is quick to learn and adapt in our busy and expanding office. We will always offer support, however we would like you to be confident in discussing the ongoing projects with our current and new clients. Communication and customer service is very important for us in the office, and our ideal candidate will be happy to take up enquiries, and run a project from the enquiry stage to the go live stage. There is a team to work with in the office, so you won’t be alone!

The ideal candidate will bring energy to the role, new ideas and collaborative thinking. We pride ourselves on working with a range of companies, businesses and charities across Wales and beyond, and we do this with high standard of customer service, as well as a Welsh language service at all times.

The role is varied and will include delivering new websites for clients, along with general maintenance of existing client websites. Where possible training will be provided. We’ve listed below some typical tasks that would be expected of you.

  • Replying to website enquiries, setting up meetings and sending quotes
  • Meetings with clients to discuss their projects
  • Adding content to websites and other less technical work (e.g. adding contact forms, problem solving for clients)
  • Using WordPress to create the website, not necessarily the development aspects at all but the content, structure and design

Required skillset
Required:

  • Fluent in Welsh & English (we are happy to support Welsh learners)
  • Web design skills
  • Comfortable working to, and setting your own deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as by yourself
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable talking to clients in Welsh or English (on a daily basis)

Knowledge Required:

  • Experience of using WordPress
  • User experience in terms of website design
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal

About the Role

We are looking for a new team member to join Gwe Cambrian Web within the marketing department – both to provide services for our clients, and to help market the company. The ideal candidate will bring energy to the new role, new ideas and collaborative thinking. You will need to have a great understanding of organic social media marketing, with the ability to communicate effectively and in an engaging manner. We pride ourselves on working with a range of companies, businesses and charities across Wales and beyond, and we do this with a high standard of customer service, as well as a Welsh language service at all times.

We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic, who has a marketing mindset and is keen to bring new ideas to the table. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding and appreciation for the importance of branding and social media to any business online.

We will support you with training opportunities and qualifications where relevant, and support your personal development.

 

Your tasks will/may include:

  • Social media management for a range of clients
  • Content creation (which could include blog writing, articles, press releases, website copy) – ideally you will also be able to translate content to Welsh/English
  • Social media reporting
  • Creating digital strategies
  • Client meetings
  • Answering phones and emails
  • Newsletter writing and email marketing.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Fluent in Welsh & English
  • Excellent communication (writing and conversational) skills
  • Comfortable working to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as by yourself
  • Good time management skills
  • Management of social media profiles across a range of platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest).

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Content planning
  • Creating digital strategies
  • Knowledge of Facebook & Instagram ads
  • Translation skills (Welsh/English)
